Picking items
What a listing doesn't tell you up front
The rail tags on this site each carry a QC checklist for the specific piece, but the habits below apply to anything you order through Lolobuy, picked from this catalogue or found yourself.
Reading an item before checkout
Record the listing link, selected model, size, colour, quantity and price together. If a low-priced option is a gift box rather than the item shown, changing the selection changes both the order and the budget. The category tag is a starting point; the selected option is what the agent should purchase.
- Read the full specification menu before you commit to a size or colour. Variant dropdowns sometimes bundle unrelated add-ons — a phone case, a gift box, a resale tag — into the same list as the actual size options. Picking the wrong line costs you a return cycle.
- Use the official measurement guide, not the size label. Garment sizing on Chinese marketplaces does not map directly onto US, UK or EU labels; Lolobuy's own measurement reference shows how to measure shoulders, chest and waist against a laid-flat garment rather than trust the printed size tag.
- Check whether the category is shipping-restricted before you pay. Liquids (perfume among them) and battery-containing electronics route onto a narrower set of shipping lines. At a 1,000 g parcel weight, our archive from 2026-10-22 shows the gap clearly: liquids to the United States had one usable line out of eight available for ordinary apparel, and liquids to the United Kingdom had zero out of nine — every line blocked the category outright. Battery items fared only slightly better, typically one or two usable lines where a non-restricted parcel had eight to ten. Check the line finder for your destination before ordering something heavy in either category, and do not assume a route that works for a T-shirt will work for a bottle of perfume.
- Request the QC angle that matters to you. The standard photo set is a floor, not a ceiling — see the QC page for what is included by default and how to ask for more.
Five habits worth keeping
Before paying, choose one unresolved question that could make you reject the item. For shoes it may be insole length; for a bag it may be the opening width; for a set it may be the included pieces. Ask for that specific information and retain the answer with the order. At the warehouse, use the QC checks to compare the received item with this record.
- A low headline price can apply to only one variant. Confirm the price has not changed once your actual size or colour is selected.
- "Wholesale" or multi-pack listings may legitimately include small flaws. Bulk listings sometimes disclose this upfront in the title — worth reading past the price line.
- Box condition is not the same as item condition. A sealed outer box only confirms the parcel was not opened in transit, not that the contents match the order.
- Declared value affects customs exposure. Lolobuy's own lines tax based on declared value in USD on the routes where tax is collected up front — see the shipping page for country thresholds.
- Returns have a short, status-triggered window. Lolobuy's return article gives five days from the order's "Stored" status to apply, with a separate line in the same article also mentioning issues reported after three days may not be accepted — do not sit on a problem once goods reach the warehouse.
